As a Specialist within the local Video/Audio team, entrusted to be KSMs resident expert in designated markets for all video and audio buys. Youll be empowered to strategize, evaluate, negotiate, craft and purchase media for a wide range of clients from humble hometown brands to national giants across all categories.
**The ways you will make an impact:**
* Stretch media budgets by effectively negotiating with all local video and audio partners in assigned markets for competitive rates and premium offerings
* Gain ongoing stream of market insight to inform strategic approach
* Supervise and collaborate with Buying Associate to ensure orders are placed and checked, make goods are evaluated and executed, discrepancies are processed and buys are posted
* Evaluate stations added value proposals along with our dedicated promotions team (but leave the heavy lifting to them)
* Build and nurture trusted relationships with station reps while expanding your/our network
* Mentor, train and empower junior staff
**Experience you should bring:**
* 2+ years media buying experience
* Experience with media buying systems (experience with Spectra a plus)
* Experience with various media buying tools (e.g., Nielsen, SQAD, SRDS)
* Strong mathematical aptitude (you must pass a basic math testwe must provide a calculator)
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
