Cybersecurity Project Manager - Hybrid

Overview:
- Experience Requirement: Must have 6 years of Project Management experience, including working with IT or information security professionals. Federal government agency experience, particularly with the Department of Treasury, is preferred.
- Project Development: Leads development and implementation of projects, serving as the primary point of contact. Takes projects from concept to final implementation, interfacing with all stakeholders and defining project scope and objectives.
- Planning and Management: Develops detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans. Conducts project meetings, tracks progress, ensures adherence to quality standards, and manages vendor tasks.
- Technical Expertise: Provides technical and analytical guidance to project teams, recommends solutions to problems, and oversees security measures and controls, including vulnerability testing, risk analyses, audits, and incident management.
- Security Protocols: Establishes plans and protocols to protect digital files and information systems, maintains data integrity, and manages network security. Recommends and installs appropriate tools and countermeasures and maintains corporate security policies.
- Employee Training and Vendor Coordination: Trains employees in security awareness and procedures and coordinates security plans with outside vendors.
Qualifications: - Clearance: Public Trust
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, preferably with CISSP and PMP certifications.
- Previous experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, or PHP.
- Knowledge of IDS/IPS, penetration testing, and vulnerability testing.
- Familiarity with DLP, anti-virus, and anti-malware systems.
- Proficiency in firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols.
- Experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems.
- Understanding of network protocols and packet analysis tools.
- Familiarity with cloud computing and models like SaaS and PaaS.
- Knowledge of eGRC, SIEM, and SOC concepts.
Education: - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Location: - Two to three days on site at the client's office in Rockville, MD
