- Establishes and maintains appropriate processes, policies, inventory systems and data bases related to the storage and handling of food and nutrition products.
- Ensures departmental compliance with all infection control and safety standards through implementation and monitoring of sanitation procedures, food handling practices and personal hygiene requirements.
- Ensuring all food production, service and storage areas, equipment, etc. meet or exceed specified requirements/standards. Inspecting prepared food to ensure adherence to prescribed specifications (appearance, quality, temperature, etc).
- Leads the planning and development of food and culinary education programs for food and nutrition professionals, foodservice managers, nutrition fellows, dietetic students, dietetic interns and/or other hospital professionals.
- Encourages self-development and learning for leadership staff through regular feedback, training programs and work experiences.
Provides oversight to the patient-focused program to drive satisfaction and patient experience outcomes.
- Evaluates and implements strategies to improve overall patient experience.
- Participates as a member of all JHHS Food and Culinary Services patient satisfaction team.
- Leads team approach to improved food quality through use of standardized recipes, equipment and approaches.
