Description
An Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the financial processing of transactions for an organization. Their duties include daily bookkeeping and record keeping, financial reporting and the preparation of tax records for financial audits.
Expectations
Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
Analyzing workflow processes
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Processing due invoices for payments
Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
Create accounting procedures and drive best practices
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Ability to prioritize, solve problems and work in a fast-paced, high volume
Position Requirements
Required Skills
Experience with companies operating in multiple states
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Takes initiative to pursue solutions and maintains a level of curiosity.
Able to work in an ever-changing collaborative environment
Education and Experience Requirements
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in accounts payable or accounting is required
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system a plus
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outloo
