Overview Columbus Springs East is a 72-bed behavioral hospital located in Columbus, Ohio. The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment to adults, adolescents and their families. At Columbus Springs, we are dedicated to Changing People's Lives Columbus Springs is seeking a Controller to join finance team. The Controller is responsible for overall financial administration of the Facility, including general accounting, data processing and financial reporting in accordance with all Facility and corporate policies and procedures. The Controller must possess an understanding of the inner-workings of the business to identify trends and partners with other Facility leaders to mitigate negative trends. Controller ensures internal controls are adequate to safeguard facility assets and that accounting systems are sufficient to generate accurate and timely financial reports. Prepares mid-month and end-of-month projections Processes payroll for the hospital in a timely manner. Assists in the identification and collection of patient financial responsibility for services rendered Monitors and analyzes FTEs to maintain budget requirements. Responsible for entering AP invoices into the accounting software. Processes check run to vendors on a bi-weekly basis. Monitors payer mix/UR for appropriateness of treatment. Reconciles bank statements on a monthly basis and with accuracy and within specified timelines. Develops plan and works towards strategic goals for continued growth of the Facility. Prepares actual vs. budget monthly reports within assigned timeframes. Prepares daily flash report to Corporate Staff. Maintains sufficient familiarity with data processing systems to identify problems, initiate corrective actions, provide staff training, generates necessary reports. Prepares monthly operating stat report with accuracy and within acceptable timelines.
