Desktop Support Specialist


Job Details

CBTS is currently seeking a Desktop Support Specialist for a position located in Cincinnati, OH.


We are currently seeking two experienced Windows 11 Migration Specialists to join our team and assist our clients in smoothly transitioning their end users to the latest Windows operating system.


Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with clients to understand their migration requirements and develop a comprehensive migration plan.

- Work closely with end users to document their current settings and preferences in applications such as OneNote, Edge, etc., ensuring that all settings are preserved post-migration.

- Conduct migrations for both "in place" upgrades and new laptop setups, identifying and recommending hardware replacements when necessary.

- Identify applications in use by end users that have not been tested in Windows 11, report them, and coordinate testing to ensure compatibility.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the migration process.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide regular updates on migration progress and address any issues or concerns.

- Document migration procedures and create user guides to assist end users in adapting to Windows 11.


Requirements:

- Previous experience in migrating end users from older Windows versions to Windows 11 is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (O365) suite.

- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and troubleshooting techniques.

- Ability to document and communicate technical procedures effectively.

- Experience with identifying hardware requirements and assessing the need for replacement.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

- Certification in Windows operating systems or related technologies.

- Prior experience in conducting software compatibility testing.

- Familiarity with enterprise-level migration tools and methodologies.
