GSquared Group is currently partnering with one of our key enterprise clients, a Fortune 500 retail organization based in the Atlanta area, to identify a talented Supply Chain Data Analyst with extensive experience in retail environments to join our dynamic team on a long-term contract engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain operations, coupled with expertise in enterprise data warehousing, SQL, and data mapping techniques. As a Supply Chain Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to enhance our supply chain efficiency and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze supply chain data, including inventory levels, demand forecasts, and transportation metrics.
- Utilize enterprise data warehousing systems to extract and manipulate large datasets for analysis.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to retrieve and transform data for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data mapping and integration projects.
- Perform data mapping exercises to ensure seamless flow of information across different systems and platforms.
- Create and maintain documentation related to data mapping, data lineage, and data governance processes.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a retail or supply chain environment.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with enterprise data warehousing systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata).
- Solid understanding of data mapping concepts and techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
