OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY

The Marketplace Express Attendant is assigned to assist the Dining Services department with daily operation of the Post Road Marketplace Express. The Marketplace Express is a public retail operation, located on the lower level of the Post Road Brewhouse building, offers CIA baked goods, nosh boxes, our craft beer in addition to local specialty food items and value-added products. This assignment will enhance the customers' experience by providing a welcoming environment to our patrons. In addition to customer service, attendants will be responsible for managing micros point of sale systems, ensure that all merchandising is in order and products are properly stocked in addition to maintaining the cleanliness and order of the market. Market is open weekdays 3pm to 6pm, and Saturday 11am to 5pm.

SHIFTS

  • Shifts Available: 2:30PM- 7:00PM Tues- Fri, 10:30AM - 5:30PM Sat, must work 2 to 3 shifts a week.


ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the MarketPlace Express including shelves, displays, coolers and serving counters.
  • Must adhere to all recommendations and guidelines set by the CDC during the Coronavirus pandemic.
  • Maintain all stock levels during service hours.
  • Assist the public customers with pick up and shopping at the Marketplace
  • Pick up daily orders from storeroom or other locations and deliver to designated areas. All items must be put away and secured according to FIFO, OSHA and Department of Health Codes.
  • Work well with all areas of Dining Services and Food & Beverage.
  • Adhere to proper MICROS protocols and SOPs.
  • Prep and package needs for the MarketPlace Express
  • Adhere to the CIA professional dress and hygiene codes.
  • Empty and remove all trash from MarketPlace Express and complete outside garbage runs.
  • Greet students, staff, and public in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Any and all duties as required.


PREREQUISITES

  • None


PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES

  • Experience in a fast food or casual dining environment.
  • Familiar with a teamwork-based environment.

Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
