The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company's financial records and account personnel. You will be responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and assess cost standards.
- Compile audit reports and deliver findings to senior management.
- Propose process and policy alterations to minimize costs and optimize profitability.
- Advise management on cost-related decisions using financial data.
- Analyze cost and variance trends, investigate significant discrepancies, and suggest appropriate actions.
- Produce daily operational performance analyses, including inventory movements, sales, and cost of goods sold, to promptly identify significant issues.
- Validate accuracy of new Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routers.
- Conduct monthly inventory valuation and reconcile cost ledgers.
- Review and approve cost review requests, with a focus on operational impact analysis.
- Create and monitor operating forecasts aligned with budget parameters. Evaluate significant variances and assess operational consequences.
- Determine labor and overhead rates in accordance with budgetary constraints.
- Conduct annual cost rolls and inventory revaluations, collaborating with purchasing and operations management to improve the precision of cost elements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance
- Over 5 years of experience supporting a manufacturing business
- 4+ years specializing in Cost accounting
- Proficient in using ERP systems for over 4 years
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
