About Us

Emery Sapp & Sons, an employee-owned construction firm, is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Grading Foreman to lead and manage a crew of construction workers on our projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of our construction operations.

Your Role: Leading Construction Excellence

As a Heavy Civil Foreman at Emery Sapp & Sons, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a crew of construction workers, including scheduling, task assignment, and progress monitoring.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Communicate regularly with project managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors.
  • Provide training on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including materials and equipment.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or vocational training preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction, with experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
