Overview
Under direct supervision, designs, develops, and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component, or system without causing damage. Records, analyzes, and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform non-destructive tests on objects or materials to examine and attest functionality and performance.
- Identifies errors and defects in equipment,
- Use of ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.
- May be responsible for testing mechanical components, storage, or transport vessels. Like pipelines or containers.
Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree in a Technical School or applicable skilled trade preferred
Experience 0-3 years
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Technical expertise. Problem-solving skills. Time management skills. Manual dexterity. Required Near Vision Acuity and Color Perception.
