Role definition

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to work with us in a strategic role who has the right potential to move up quickly in role and responsibility. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate account balances, ensuring compliance with established accounting practices, handling and implementing payment systems, as well as handling budgeting, P&L reports and forecast planning. We also have high expectations for cash flow management, cost savings, collections, profit analysis. You should find the job challenging and rewarding, as you will be contributing to the successful growth of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Track expenses, budget, taxes, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of company.
  • Provide regular financial reports to the CFO and the CEO through collection, analysis, and summarization of data, interacting/engaging frequently with senior staff including sales, marketing and operations personnel.
  • Record, consolidate and balance financial transactions.
  • Organize and maintain the company's financial records up to date.
  • Reconcile bank transactions on an as needed basis.
  • General administrative support tasks.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 3+ years of proven bookkeeping experience.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience using QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Commitment to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Availability to meet/work at our office located in the near-west suburbs of Chicago 60% of the time.
