JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for all aspects of shop floor operations to include: throughput, equipment maintenance and operation, work instructions/procedures, quality, staffing/personnel issues, process control, cost avoidance, continuous improvement, and schedule compliance.

- Design and implementation of 5S,Lean Manufacturing and Lean Logistics in Manufacturing and Manufacturing Support areas.
- Design and develop a cross training plan for all areas in Manufacturing.
- Use interdepartmental resources to solve complex problems
- Work with Sales, Engineering, and Purchasing to provide the customer good quality products in a timely manner, while still maintaining the highest possible profit margin
- Help process engineers fine-tune existing processes
- Continually look for ways to streamline processes
- Provide leadership to all production employees
- Deal with confrontation in a positive manner
- Juggle multiple priorities
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as directed by management
- Follow all ESD policies and procedures
QualificationsPHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or tools and occasionally must reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
