Home Health HR Assistant

The human resources generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as staffing, training and development.

  • Assists Branch Administrators with required Employee Documents
  • Conducts Audits of Employee Files
  • Assists with conducting and coordinating Employee Satisfaction Surveys and Exit Interviews and makes actionable recommendations based on data
  • Manage the organization's employee HRIS system and prepare reports.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Performs all onboarding activity.
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Prepares and monitors employee trends and productivity reports
  • Manages contracts related to Employees, i.e. travel nurses, staffing contracts
  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
  • Support Home Health Branch Administrators with Employee orientation
  • Payroll support
  • Other duties as assigned.


An ideal candidate would have:

  • 2 - 5 years experience in a Human Resources position
  • Understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
  • Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
  • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary
  • Meticulous attention to detail.


Working Conditions:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally as needed.
