Refugee Processing Specialists handle case management and family reunification program initiatives within the R&P Pre-Arrival Department at World Relief. The Refugee Processing Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day case management processes that are required for pre-and post-allocation cases, vetting family reunification applications, and training the World Relief network as the Reception and Placement program regulations change. Refugee Processing Specialists liaise between the World Relief field office network and stakeholders which include but are not limited to the Refugee Processing Center (RPC), Refugee Support Center (RSC), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) to ensure adherence to R&P guidelines.

Role & Responsibilities

    • Manages day-to-day required case management tasks and provides technical assistance for pre/post allocation cases for designated offices.
    • Processes family reunification applications and RSC reports.
    • Manages assigned RPC case processing reports and adhere to given timeframes.
    • Facilitates field office trainings on case management and family reunification processing guidelines.
    • Leads and manage organizational external projects as appropriate.
    • Attends weekly allocation meetings and strategically places cases as appropriate.
    • Responsible for updating staff manuals quarterly.
    • Responsible for creating custom data analysis reports as appropriate.
    • Attends all required meetings with WR Network and Stakeholders.
    • Oversees flight and medical logistics with IOM for the World Relief network.
    • Maintains an in-depth working knowledge of WR's R&P network and USRAP programs.

Requirements
    • Mature and personal Christian faith
    • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
    • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
    • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
    • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience in related field.
    • Refugee resettlement experience strongly preferred.
    • Overseas and/or cross-cultural experience.


$55,000 - $65,000 a year

The ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-15 pounds.

Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information.

The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

General office setting. World Relief also offers hybrid and remote schedules for limited positions.

Great lengths of time working on computer, reading from computer screen, entering information, standing at copier or fax machine, and some time on the phone or in virtual meetings may be required.

Year-end archiving activities involve repeated lifting and bending.
