50-something creative visionary entrepreneur needs an executive assistant/personal assistant/baby sitter/parent.
Seriously. We need someone to come spend their time with our CEO. Follow him around, make sure he's getting to meetings on time, take notes and follow up on the things that he's never going to remember to do without you, remind him to pack an overnight bag when he's going out of town, make sure he isn't eating gluten, and just generally be in charge of helping him navigate life. This role is supporting him as both an entrepreneur and as a person because it's all one life. You'll be his hype man/woman as well as a voice of reason when he needs it.
We're not going to tell you yet what companies him and his equally creative wife have founded (even though it's impressive), because you'll automatically think they're boring, or stuffy and they're anything but that. We'll just say they are the founders of many successful businesses and counting.
He goes about 500 mph at all times and the short of this is that we desperately need him to focus his genius on the businesses instead of worrying about his calendar, booking travel, or other life tasks that a perfectly competent person other than him can do. He values people that can keep up and idea pitch and talk things through with him and give him another perspective. He thinks fast and needs someone equally as quick who can think strategically and put his ideas into motion. This all said you must have the ability to pivot equally as quick. Not all ideas go forward, or sometimes we get into one thing and decide we found a better way of doing it. The ability to pivot is going to be your very best friend.
He doesn't care about your formal education or the titles you've had. He truthfully will have no idea what your former titles even mean. He doesn't care about your past. He cares about who you are today and what you're capable of. He cares that when you got knocked down, you got back up and fought harder.
Things to look forward to: He's going to invest as much in you and your future as you're willing to invest in yourself. He's going to care about your personal, professional, and financial goals more than any other person you will ever meet. You are going to learn more from him just by listening and observing and asking questions than you will any other person you've ever met. You will have unlimited growth potential.
The parts some people (the wrong people) don't like: You're going to have to push yourself to your fullest potential (yes, believe it or not, some people don't want to do this). He's going to be direct with you. Never demeaning or mean, but he's going to tell you how it is because it doesn't do him or you any good to beat around the bush. You have to be willing to take accountability. He has a ton of respect for the people who own their mistakes and learn from them compared to the people who always have a reason or excuse.
The trade off: this isn't going to be a 9-5. He's going to call you in the evening and on the weekend because visionaries don't just turn it off at the end of the business day. But he'll be flexible in return when you have life stuff come up or a doctor appointment or kid(s) to pick up from school.
His wish list in a candidate: You're a force and you are comfortable in any setting. He likes people that he can have a creative disagreement without taking it personal. He needs someone with ideas.... even if it's a bad idea- it's still an idea. If you have a background, or even an interest in marketing and sales is an added bonus. He likes people who invite themselves and take initiative to get involved.
What he NEEDS in a candidate: someone who is extremely organized and can keep him organized. Tech savvy and knows their way around Apple products. street smarts, determination, curiosity, you care about your future and your own development, YOU'RE CURIOUS, you made it to where you are by pure grit and determination.
