Senior Sales Engineer (Battery Energy Storage Systems)


Job Details

SolaX Power is a global supplier of battery energy storage solutions with strong presence in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Its advanced residential energy solutions consist of inverters, DC batteries and system controllers, and are designed to address all renewable energy production, storage, consumption and grid service functions. Due to its business expansion in the US, SolaX Power USA would like to invite experienced market-facing engineers to join its fast-growing US team.


Responsibilities:

  • Be the technical advocate of SolaX products and solutions and influence customer product selection decisions, by understanding customer needs, addressing customer concerns and creating system solutions using thorough product knowledge and customer support experience
  • Assist the sales team converting customer conversations into sales contracts at initial contact, pre-sales, system design, contracting and construction phases
  • Stay up to date with competitor product details and market trends, and be an internal advocate of solutions based on existing products, as well as new product, solution and service concepts
  • Assist and manage the technical aspects of an RFx.
  • Provide in person and online installation and product training.
  • Conduct other assigned technical and business tasks as appropriate


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (e.g. electrical, mechanical, system) or physical sciences (e.g. Physics, Materials, Chemistry) and minimum 5 years relevant experience in the battery energy storage system, power electronics or renewable energy industries
  • Demonstrable results-driven attitude, customer-facing experience and business success
  • Excellent spoken and written English; great communicator and influencer


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master degree in engineering (e.g. electrical, mechanical, system) or physical sciences (e.g. Physics, Materials, Chemistry) and minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Experience selling, applying or developing residential energy storage systems in the US
  • Familiar with related codes and standards, incentive programs and project permitting in the US


Requirements:

Willing to travel 30 50% of the time to meet with customers and support sales team.
