Our client, a diamond leader and expert, is seeking a Jewelry Buyer to join their team! The ideal candidate is business-minded, strategic and passionate about jewelry.
Location: Nashville, TN, open to candidates looking to relocate long-term.
5 days on site.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with vendors in selection of new collection, styles, and assortment
- Negotiates cost and terms of purchase
- Secures timely delivery of products and agreement with the arrangements of buys
- Oversee stock levels and set replenishment orders within open to buy guidelines
- Create reports on sales, budgets and customer trends to adjust strategies as fit
- Partner with marketing to supply products, details to aid campaign lead
- Assist in cultivating and placing product knowledge training for associates
- Develop and support assistant buyer
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in luxury retail or jewelry industry
- Experience as a retail buyer or similar role
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office
- High school diploma; BS/BA in business administration or relevant field will be considered a plus
- Strong passion for jewelry!
- Comprehends customer motivations
- Strong negotiating, networking and influencing skills
- Attention to details and able to prioritize
- Excellent analytical skills
- Team management and strong leadership skills
- Understand retail math and ability to analyze sales reports
