Current Needs / Shifts: Full-time positions available with 12-hour shifts covering days and nights.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care to incarcerated individuals within Michigan's correctional facilities.
- Conduct health assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
- Monitor and document changes in patients' conditions and behaviors.
- Collaborate with correctional staff and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Coordinate referrals to external healthcare providers and medical facilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Respond promptly to healthcare requests in a clinically appropriate manner.
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure in the state of Michigan, in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
- Previous experience in correctional or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
