Job Description
Our client, state of the art multi-specialty practice, is hiring a Primary Care Physician Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician
- Identify short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens
- Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans
- Conduct a basic medical examination and recommend any further testing that should be required (EKG, labs, etc.)
- Administer and prescribe medications
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- 3+ years of experience
- Comfortable seeing patients on their own
- Registered/Licensed as a Physician Assistant in New York State
- DEA License
