Job DescriptionWe are a mid-sized metal stamping plant located in Sterling Heights, MI. We are looking for a afternoon shift shop supervisor / Press Operator. We average 6 to 10 people on the afternoon shift. The afternoon shift hours are 4:30 P.M. to 3:00 A.M., Monday - Friday and occasional Saturdays from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 P.M.We offer paid Holidays, paid vacation, Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K to our employees.The optimal candidate will be able to direct employees on day to day operations and trouble shoot problems as they arise. The person will need good common cense and knowledge of all tool room equipment.Duties would include:Obtain second shift line up from plant manager and/or production controlDirect second shift workers on what they will be running that evening.Monitor employees throughout shift and keep employees on task.Answer job related questions.If employees are injured and need medical attention, you are responsible for sending them to the clinic or hospital (depending on the injury).Able to operate automatic press.If the company truck is left out, you will need to drive it into the steel room.Shut down equipment at the end of the night.Lock shop up.Set alarm when exiting the building at the end of the shift.Please submit resume
