**Harmon Scrap Metal** is currently hiring for a **full-time Non-Ferrous Metal / Material Handler** to grade, sort, and process materials while ensuring that all efforts are compliant with company standards and policies in the **Hazel Green, AL** area. **DAY-TO-DAY**
As a Non-Ferrous Metal / Material Handler, you provide the highest quality end product safely and efficiently while maintaining a decrease in accidents and errors. You grade materials with magnets, sort materials based on commodity grades, and process materials with alligator shears, reciprocating saws, and manual hand-tool dissembling. Your other duties include organizing production by utilizing storage boxes, pallets, carts, and bins as well as basic cleaning, sweeping, and housekeeping. As needed, you also assist with scale purchasing. In order to process quality materials and products, you regularly inspect equipment and report any mechanical or safety issues or concerns. Building a great rapport with customers, you answer questions and help them unload their materials as needed. **You get a great sense of accomplishment working with our amazing team and getting things done!**
