TEAM AND ROLE

As a Clean Energy Originator, you will play a crucial role within the Global Renewable Energy team, a highly regarded entity in the Global EAC and US REC market. Collaborating closely with the Strive team, our corporate climate action experts, you will contribute to the decarbonization journey of large and mid-tier corporate clients. You will guide corporate clients in devising effective strategies to reduce scope 2 emissions. Your responsibilities include identifying client needs, sourcing projects, and facilitating efficient contracting between project developers and corporations for the execution of (V)PPA contracts. The renewable energy market is dynamic, with constant changes driven by voluntary legislation such as CDP and RE100, as well as connections to other environmental laws like green Hydrogen. This landscape brings both uncertainty and opportunities for corporations on their decarbonization journey. Your role as an advisor is pivotal in helping clients navigate this dynamic environment, ensuring they capitalize on opportunities and establish enduring relationships within the corporate world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiate (as an advisor) (V)PPA's between large corporations and project developers
  • Leverage on client network of Strive team and market access of REC team
  • Commercially responsible to originate (V)PPA directly and indirectly in the market
  • Help clients understand the purpose and implications of (V)PPA

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Direct experience in negotiating (V)PPA with corporations
  • 7-10 year working experience with an advisory firm or utility
  • Existing commercial network
  • Extensive understanding of the ESG market and scope 2 emission reductions

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation as determined annually within the company fiscal year. STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary of 120,000 - 200,000 based on a number of objective factors such as relevant experience, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications.
