Summary:

YELL is seeking a dynamic Director of Marketing and Sales to build best-in-class marketing and sales functions and acquire millions of customers. The Director of Marketing and Sales is a growth marketer at heart, responsible for leading the planning, scaling, evaluation and development of paid and unpaid customer programs, full funnel marketing, and digital lead generation. This role reports directly to the COO and will partner with leadership and product to present marketing and sales strategies for existing and potential customers. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and data-minded decision maker with the capabilities to drive results in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Experience with fintech, payments, e-commerce, mobile apps, or product development is a plus.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies in line with YELL s brand vision, business goals, and market trends.
  • Team Management: Lead marketing and design professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Brand Development: Refine and strengthen the YELL Payment brand through consistent messaging, visual identity, and brand voice across all channels.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and consumer preferences to inform marketing and product development efforts.
  • B2B Sales Prospecting: Research, prospect and create a sales funnel for B2B sales.
  • Budget Management: Effectively manage and allocate the marketing budget to maximize ROI and achieve KPIs.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to measure and analyze campaign effectiveness, optimizing strategies for maximum impact.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product development, and creative teams to align marketing efforts with company goals.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance metrics, regularly reporting on marketing performance to senior management.

Digital Marketing:

  • SEO and SEM: Lead SEO and SEM strategies to improve our online visibility and drive organic and paid traffic to our website.
  • Social Media: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms, creating engaging content and fostering an active online community.
  • Email Marketing: Oversee email marketing campaigns, segmentation, and automation to nurture customer relationships and drive conversions.
  • Influencer Marketing: Collaborate with influencers to create compelling content and reach new audiences while maintaining brand authenticity.
  • Content Marketing: Develop a content calendar and execute a content marketing strategy that aligns with brand messaging and customer interests.

Traditional Marketing:

  • Offline Advertising: Oversee offline advertising campaigns to enhance brand visibility among core customers.
  • Events and Sponsorships: Plan and execute participation in prestigious industry events, trade shows, and strategic partnerships to highlight our brand and products.
  • Public Relations: Manage PR efforts, including media relations and press releases, to secure high quality coverage in top tier publications.
  • Partnerships: Identify and cultivate partnerships with other brands and influencers to expand our reach and credibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Experience within FinTech, financial services or SaaS a plus.
  • Possess a minimum of 12 years of extensive marketing experience with a proven track record in managing marketing campaigns and customer lifecycle (customer acquisition, engagement, and retention).
  • 3+ years in a management level position with staff oversight.
  • Experience managing and overseeing third party marketing agencies and other vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Proficiency in industry leading marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with working in startups a plus.
  • References (3) required.
