Job Specific Details and Tasks:
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Collaborating with various healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Ensuring optimal outcomes in terms of clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines in the MTF (Military Treatment Facility) - Conducting physical exams and health histories
- Providing health counseling, promotions, and education
- Administering medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions
- Supervising care provided by other healthcare professionals
- Assigning patient care based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel
- Quickly reacting in emergency situations by recognizing adverse signs and symptoms
- Communicating and collaborating with a diverse group of people to inform healthcare teams of plans and actions, provide teaching and education, and benefit patients and organizations
- Making referral appointments and arranging specialty care as needed
- Conducting research to support improved practice and patient outcomes
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications for this position include:
- Education: Minimum ASN, BSN preferred - Experience: At least one (1) year of recent and relevant primary care experience
- Licensure: Active/Unrestricted RN License from any state
- Certifications: Possess and maintain an AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Security: Ability to pass a government background check and obtain a security clearance
