Location: Ripon, WI
Shift:
Weekend Night Shift (Friday through Sunday, 4pm-4am)
or
5 days/8-hour shifts. Sunday through Thursday - 10pm-6am
Job Description:
The Maintenance Supervisor is a critical role responsible for leading and managing all maintenance operations during the Weekend Night shift at our Ripon, WI facilities. This position plays a key role in maintaining a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide leadership, supervision, technical assistance, and training to a team of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance technicians. You'll work with a considerable degree of independence within established policies and guidelines, with your performance evaluated based on inspection, record analysis, and equipment performance. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Create and foster a strong safety culture, implementing workplace policies.
- Build effective interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union representatives, and management teams.
- Ensure daily submission of completed work orders, including actual hours and completion comments, by the technicians.
- Track, analyze, and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, asset utilization, maintenance cost, preventive maintenance (PM) compliance, and schedule compliance.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Planners in scoping corrective work orders as necessary.
- Develop and manage weekly schedules for shift technicians and assist in prioritizing emergency jobs.
- Evaluate team member performance and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-starter with the ability to motivate teams.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office products.
- Capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Special qualifications include supervisory skills and adaptability to changing technology, ensuring a safe and orderly facility maintenance.
- Core competencies: Communication, Management, Human Resource Development, Facility Upkeep and Maintenance, Administrative and Organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Stooping, bending, standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
Must Have:
- Associate degree in Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, or business management (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a skilled position.
- 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader.
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in understanding blueprints for mechanical, electrical, and facilities equipment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment functionality (e.g., stamping, automated fabrication, machining, paint processes).
