YOU:

Nurture Healthy Relationships

As a CARPENTER you will work closely with other departments in production to help construct sets and scenic pieces by cutting, shaping, and assembling wooden articles, utilizing a variety of woodworking machines and fabrication techniques.

Build Client Confidence

As a CARPENTER you'll play a crucial part in translating each client's vision into reality. Your expertise in construction and execution will be pivotal in bringing their projects to life. Additionally, you'll ensure clear communication regarding your progress with the Fabrication Production Manager.

Grow Forward

We re hiring someone who will roll up their sleeves and add value on day one, but we also believe in the potential of every employee. We want you to grow, we want you to have a growth mindset, and we will support that growth with the opportunity to research materials and build methodologies, and expand your knowledge in the latest fabrication processes.

YOUR ROLE:

For day to day success, you will

  • Establish the needs of an article being built by reviewing and understanding the given build drawings.
  • Produce or assemble components of different set designs or other articles (store fixtures, cabinets, high-grade furniture, and sometimes fun stuff for the office!)
  • Set up and operate various machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut and mold lumber or lumber substitutes.
  • Demonstrate a variety of construction skills, including but not limited to measuring/marking lumber, following blueprints, reinforcing joints, and cutting timber to the right size and shape to ensure a snug fit.
  • Match materials for color, grain, or texture.
  • Trim, sand, or scrape surfaces to prepare articles for finishing.

Initiative You take action on your own without being prompted volunteering readily, pursuing self-development and anticipating what s next, and are committed to high standards of excellence.

Flexibility You are versatile, flexible, and willing to work with enthusiasm in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
