A client located in Central Ohio is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Design and architect scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform, leveraging a wide range of AWS services and technologies.
- Implement infrastructure as code principles using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
- Develop automated deployment pipelines and workflows using CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD to streamline the deployment of applications and services on AWS.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, encryption, and security monitoring.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure resources, including storage and networking, to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions on AWS, including multi-region architectures, data replication, and automated failover mechanisms.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
- Strong scripting and programming skills, with experience using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and infrastructure management.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
