Director of Finance


Job Details

Position Overview: As the Director of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of and ensuring the company's financial health and sustainability. You will lead all financial functions and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on matters relating to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
  2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process, including revenue forecasting, expense planning, and variance analysis. Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
  3. Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  4. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow effectively to optimize liquidity and support day-to-day operations. Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and optimize working capital.
  5. Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  6. Financial Performance Monitoring: Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, and provide regular updates to senior management. Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and propose corrective actions as needed.
  7. Financial Operations: Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger accounting. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and transactions.
  8. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including department heads and senior management, to facilitate collaboration and alignment on financial goals and objectives.
  9. Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior finance role, preferably in the advertising or creative industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful financial strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting tools/software.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
