This position is based in Canada (excluding Quebec) or the United States.


We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with solid Linux System Administration skills to join our operations team.


Some of What You Will Do:

  • Maintain, configure and monitor Linux systems using infrastructure as code principals in development, test and production environments
  • Participate in an on-call rotation managing incidents and performing root cause analysis
  • Maintain and refine existing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools
  • Champion uptime, reliability, compliance and observability while working closely with engineering teams
  • Provide product engineering feedback on features & functions based on your field experience.
  • Work closely with Customer Support to handle escalations requiring engineering support and then help improve the product to prevent those issues from repeating.


Some of What You Will Need:

  • Experience in Linux system administration
  • Knowledge of Linux, CI/CD tools, Configuration Management tools (e.g. Nix, Salt), Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform) and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Microsoft)
  • Proficiency in working on remote systems and on the Linux command line
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction as well as part of a team
  • Ability to deliver on multiple, concurrent goals
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to the rapidly changing business requirements of an early startup
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills

Bonus Experience:

  • SaaS Startup Experience, preferably in cybersecurity
  • Database Administration
  • Understanding of Security and Compliance Frameworks (eg. SOC-2, ISO27001)
  • Programming experience with Go
  • Functional programming experience
  • Experience with Nix and NixOS
  • Experience in the security industry

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
