Manager of Structured Finance and Valuation- Denver/San Francisco
I am seeking a Manager of Structured Finance and Valuation, to join a Utility Scale IPP client, with huge backing, a firm that is on an exciting growth trajectory! This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial strategies and investment decisions of my client's organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to analyze investment opportunities, including project finance, tax equity, and debt financing structures.
- Conduct valuation analyses to assess the financial feasibility and potential returns of utility scale IPP projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and structure project financing solutions that optimize capital efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Lead the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials for internal stakeholders and external investors.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform financial strategies and decision-making.
- Manage tax equity modeling processes, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and maximizing tax benefits for projects.
- Provide strategic guidance and insights to senior management based on financial analyses and market intelligence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSF, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in structured finance, investment banking, project finance, or a related field within the energy sector, with specific experience in utility scale IPPs preferred.
- Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, etc.) and valuation techniques.
- Strong understanding of tax equity structures and modeling methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
