About the role:

Adeia is seeking a detailed and data oriented Benefits Manager, reporting to the Head of Total Rewards. As Adeia continues to grow, the company is seeking an experienced, motivated, energetic, and proactive team-player to add to its People team to manage benefit programs and enhance the employee experience.



Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for the administration of all employee benefits programs including enrollment, billing, communications, reporting, global employee benefits programs, plan audits, and employee support.
  • Manage annual open enrollment and benefit selection process in partnership with our outside broker.
  • Collaborate with carriers, vendors, third party administrators, and internal team members on various matters such as plan design, contracts, payments, systems administration and renewal.
  • Directly support employees with benefit and leave matters. Manage all leave of absence policies and administration.
  • Develop effective employee communications and education on our benefit offerings, especially during annual enrollments and for New Hire Orientations.
  • Maintain policies and employee communications of our benefits, including in the employee handbook, intranet, and candidate benefit guides.
  • Develop and deliver engaging wellness activities for our hybrid workforce.
  • Manage benefit survey input and analysis, including data collection, reporting, etc.
  • Ensure data integrity through routine audits and validations. Oversee and audit proper maintenance of eligibility and enrollment data within the benefits administration platform, payroll, and third-party administrators as appropriate.
  • Remain abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and continuous enhancement of benefit offerings. Ensure compliance and reporting with all federal and state regulations concerning employee benefits, including but not limited to ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA.
  • Review utilization reports from insurance/benefit vendors to analyze trend and ROI.
  • May assist in total reward programs including recognition tools and compensation projects: pay structures and ranges; FLSA job classification compliance; and salary survey submissions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications / Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, human resources or the equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years benefits experience including managing open enrollment, ensuring benefit interface accuracy, reconciliation of participation, managing leave program and working directly with employees on questions, issues, and inquiries.
  • Critical thinking aptitude with the ability to analyze data and formulate conclusions and recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, self-directed to manage multiple tasks without close supervision.
  • Knowledge of state and federal benefit regulations.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • ADP experience required. Lattice, Sequoia preferred.



Location: Location is within the Bay Area. Our headquarters is based in San Jose. Employees have flexibility to work in a hybrid model with Tuesday s as in-office days to build connection with co-workers.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$165,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits, and can vary by location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
