Currently we have a position for Linguist to join our group. Primary areas of support is in language translation and interpretation for the Chinese Mandarin.
ROLE:
Leverage knowledge of the language, culture, politics, military, economy, and current events of regions of interest to produce high-quality translations, gists, and sight translations of collected material.
Perform full translations and written gists of collected material from foreign language to English and vice versa.
Conduct sight translations and verbal gists of foreign language materials into English.
Use a variety of Microsoft (MS) Office software programs as well as Adobe Acrobat and other tools to track information and report on collected material.
SKILLS NEEDED:
A Bachelor s Degree in a related field and 5 years of foreign language experience.
Experience is needed in Chinese (Mandarin).
A minimum language proficiency test score of DLPT 3/3 (or equivalent using the ILR scale) in Chinese Mandarin within the last three years.
Must have experience working in DoD with the military and intelligence community.
Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) Clearance is required. Must be a US Citizen.
