Production and Warehouse Manager

Tune Outdoor has launched an innovative, lightweight truck camper in Denver, CO focused on outdoor enthusiasts. You will hit the ground running with the founders in a team environment. This key role will be responsible for managing and meeting the production schedule for assembly, light manufacturing and customer installations. You will also manage the Technician and facilities staff, production day-to-day operations and the machinery on site including CNC. It will be fast-paced and you will have as much responsibility and accountability as you want and can manage. Culture is results-oriented and flexible.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversees warehouse and operational functions for the facility including customer builds, installation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and product.
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for the development, evolution, quality, measurement, ongoing improvement and efficiency of all warehouse processes including all aspects of production/assembly, inventory management, customer service at install and personnel development.
  • Builds daily/weekly production goals for each team member and him/herself.
  • Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the warehouse as required.
  • Communicate issues, delays, decisions and actions to the CEO/COO.
  • Assumes responsibility for the maintenance of Warehouse equipment and facilities.
  • Ensures that both the inside and outside of the facilities including personnel support areas are clean and orderly.
  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication and manages the professional development of warehouse personnel.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of changes in policies and procedures.
  • Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Measures forward-looking human resources and production plans and assigns and coordinates personnel scheduling to ensure workloads are reasonable and performable.
  • Follows inventory management procedures and participates in Supply Chain and Inventory processes so that any adjustments are made in a timely manner.
  • Understands, budgets, plans and manages warehouse operational expenses to meet financial goals and expense policies.
  • Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
  • Determines efficient layout and footprint of equipment and inventory for the smooth flow of products in and out of the warehouse and most efficient workflow.
  • Promotes performance, goodwill and a positive image of Tune with optimistic energy, attitude and problem-solving techniques.
  • Work irregular hours, evening, holidays, and weekends as required to ensure proper execution of the production and install calendar.


Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership skills in a production facility with assembly, light manufacturing and CNC programming and operations.
  • Certified in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies, with a preference for holding a green or black belt certification.
  • The ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities surrounding responsibilities above.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or engineering and at least 2 years warehouse/operations OR 6 years warehouse/operations experience.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners and Tune customers.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
  • Team skills with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workplace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms, iPhones, iPads, Apps (Hubspot a +)


Job Type:


  • Full-time


Pay:


  • $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience
  • Discretionary bonus pay based on Tune sales
