Description

Schedule: M-F, with occasional OT on Saturdays, 6am-2:30pm

Mechanical

  • Perform diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble for all types of water pumping stations and component sub-assemblies or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements.
  • Assembly procedures usually prescribed, and operations are recognized as standard practices. Do skilled fittings of parts, sub-assemblies and related units.
  • Do aligning, adjusting and required secondary machining.
  • May assign work, instruct and check work and procedures for assemblers of lower classification and helpers.
  • Work from complicated drawings and specifications.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.
  • Assignments are given progress supervision and check, final assemblies are inspected and tested.
  • Work requires skill and assembling techniques, plus experience and knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles.

Electrical
  • Perform wiring and assembly operations on a diversified line of controls, etc. for all types of water pumping stations and component sub-assemblies, involving the installation and connection of precise and intricate apparatus and complex circuits.
  • Plan and lay out work having variations in standard procedures when required. Install all types of controls and apparatus.
  • Cut form and connect wiring in accordance with specifications utilizing available space for best workmanship and results.
  • Instruct, assign and check work of assemblers of lower classifications and helpers.
  • May assist with or perform testing operations on units and completed assemblies; calibrate and regulate units to meet load capacities and operating assignments.
  • Work from wiring diagrams, specifications and job layouts; use a variety of electrical testing and gauging devices and equipment.
  • Assignments are given process supervision and check; work is subject to inspection and test.
  • Requires skill, technique and experience plus knowledge of basic design and electrical principles.


Requirements

Specific Duties:
  • Follow all Company Policies and procedures.
  • Maintain good practices for all Environmental Health and Safety regulations. These practices include but are not limited to Forklift Training, Hazardous Materials Communications, Lockout Tag out, Blood borne Pathogens,
  • Consistently completes work ahead of schedule and with reduced hours.
  • Complete all work or job-related documents and measurements.
  • Provide input on product and process improvements, as well as corrections to drawings, specifications, or bill of materials.
  • Work cooperatively with peers and leaders.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and safe work area.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Up to 10 hours of overtime per week may be required.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
