Associate - Hotel, Asset Management


Job Details

As an Associate with Tishman Hotel Corporation, you will focus on a number of Tishman s hotel assets, located both within Chicago where this position is based, and in other markets.

General responsibilities include gathering financial and statistical information, compiling in-depth reports outlining sales and operational performance, financial statement analysis, development of spreadsheets, preparation of monthly partnership reports, conduct market research, processing of day-to-day transactions with lenders and partners, and assistance with the preparation of various capital projects and fixed asset replacements. Some administrative responsibilities are included.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, and effectively collaborate with both peers and senior executives in a team orientated environment. He/she will be extremely detail-oriented, possess a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills and employ excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and efficiently manage time and workload.

Responsibilities Include:


Asset Management:

Daily interaction with hotel management company staff from both the operations and corporate level.

Assist with Annual Budget development

Assist with capital project related research and ROI analysis

Assist with execution of capital projects at properties

Conduct of asset management related research and/or analyses

Conduct and report regularly on internet shops of competitive hotels

Prepare and submit investment partner reporting

Other tasks as requested


Financial:

Daily preparation/distribution of all active Daily Hotel Reports

Monthly preparation & distribution of Sales & Financial Reports

Monthly review of the Hotel P&L; prepare & distribute P&L questions

Monthly preparation & distribution of Tishman Management Report to various stakeholders

Banking report preparation, submission, communication

Monthly revenue and cash-flow forecasting

Prepare Financial and Sales narratives

Other monthly financial reports and updates as required

Maintain FF&E project reconciliation

Prepare and provide various banking and lender reporting


Operations:

Interact with various hotel operating departments to understand departmental performance; recommend changes as necessary

Review monthly hotel operating service performance and recommend changes as necessary

Preparation and distribution of Operations and Partner meeting agendas and presentations

Schedule monthly Operations and Partner meetings

Attend Partner and Operations Meeting; prepare minutes

Regular inspection (walks) of the hotels and corresponding notes

Prepare monthly FF&E reserve recap



Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related discipline is required

3-5 years hotel operations experience, including prior management or supervisory experience. Revenue management knowledge is a plus

Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers or other Hotel staff

Should be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable computer systems

Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
