Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Logistics Manager to lead our on-site logistics and procurement operations. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of the construction supply chain, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment to our project sites. Additionally, you will take the lead on all purchasing activities for the company, negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible deals. Responsibilities: Logistics Management: o Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans for construction projects, including material procurement, transportation, storage, and on- site delivery. o Designate efficient laydown areas, offloading points, and traffic flow patterns to optimize site space and minimize congestion. o Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure logistics plans align with construction schedules. o Manage the use of cranes, hoists, and other key logistics equipment. o Oversee the safe and secure storage of materials and equipment on-site. o Implement and maintain a delivery management system, tracking incoming and outgoing deliveries. o Identify and mitigate potential logistical risks and develop contingency plans. Procurement Leadership: o Source, evaluate, and select qualified vendors and suppliers for materials, equipment, and related services. o Negotiate and finalize contracts with vendors, ensuring best pricing and terms for the company. o Manage supplier relationships, fostering open communication and collaboration. o Oversee the purchasing process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. o Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to minimize waste and optimize cash flow. o Stay informed of market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities in procurement. General: o Prepare and manage logistics and procurement budgets. o Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. o Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and protocols on construction sites. o Analyze logistics and procurement data to identify areas for improvement. o Generate reports and presentations to communicate logistics and procurement performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in construction logistics management. Proven experience in procurement and vendor management. Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and logistics principles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite and construction management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license Additional Information: You will be expected to work on-site regularly and travel to different project locations.
