Create culture of collaboration in night warehouse operations. Our client is a major, multi-billion dollar broadline foodservice distributor with a national presence. The Company is full of growth opportunities for professionals who exhibit an ability to lead associates in an effective manner and improve performance of their business unit. The local operating company in Maryland is looking for a Night Warehouse Manager capable of building a culture of performance and deep rapport with customers and staff alike.
Responsibilities:
Lead team of 64 associates including, but not limited to, training, coaching, problem resolution, performance management, and associate development and retention. Implement a hands on approach to working with the team.
Ensure all cases are selected, loaded and shipped each night, on time and it good condition
Direct all warehouse operations, including shipping and PM receiving
Monitor and act on operational information to ensure shift obtains performance objectives and maintains smooth operations
Prepare various reports and forms for shift, including documentation of materials and supplies shipped
Promote warehouse safety, regularly inspect facility for safety hazards, and resolve and/or report them as appropriate
Accountable for maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment
Develop rapport with customers and staff to build strong relationships across the function
**Knowledge & Skills**
High School Diploma or equivalent, at minimum
5+ years experience warehouse supervisory role
Foodservice / Grocery warehousing experience preferred
Strong leadership, communication and people development skills
Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures
Able to interpret financial and operational data
Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements
