Job Description

We are seeking a Cyber Infrastructure Engineer (Emphasis Linux Infrastructure) in Honolulu, HI. This role will be a direct hire/permanent role and will be required to sit onsite/in the office, supporting DoD initiatives.

In this role, you will use your Linux administration, SIEM administration, and cyber threat expertise as part of a customer-focused team. This program offers opportunities for travel, analytic tradecraft, and training to expand substantive expertise.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer servers, desktop computers, software deployments, security updates, and patches
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per Access Management Systems
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
  • Creation and publication of local operating procedures
  • Perform IT Security Compliance and Vulnerability scans
  • Work with the operations team, vendors, and engineers to identify and execute process improvements and other enhancements intended to improve operational efficiency
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and provide deliverables by established deadlines


Qualifications

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Must hold active DoD Top Secret/SCI Clearance prior to start
  • Prior to the start of employment, you MUST possess one (1) professional certification identified in DOD 8570.01
  • Prior to the start of employment, you MUST possess current baseline qualifying certification for a CSSP Analyst position (DISA IASE IAT Level II DoD 8570.01 Approved Baseline).
  • Ability to lead a team of Linux and Windows system administrators as the Cyber Warfare Specialist (Emphasis Linux Infrastructure)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Linux Red Hat system administrations, vi editor power user experience (minimum 4 years).
  • SIEM, monitoring system, and application management experience.
  • Linux system Patch and STIG experience.
  • A great understanding of Network routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Initiative and results oriented with flexibility and tenacity
  • Creative problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify threats or determine if other teams need to be included.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communications skills both written and verbal

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Familiarity with U.S. Army policies and procedures, POAMs, and organizational processes
  • Experience in cyber security controls, policies, and procedures in a military setting
  • Experience in some or all of the following tools, HIVE, Security Onion, Splunk, Linux command line, Gabriel Nimbus, SNORT, Wireshark, HBSS/AESS, and Tychon.
  • IPS/IDS Signature Writing

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
