****Position Summary****

**POSITION SUMMARY**

This senior level position will have primary responsibility for supporting two of Nestl USAs core businesses, the Beverage Division and the Bakery Sweets Division, with collective annual revenues of about $3.0 billion. The Beverage Division includes some of Nestles most iconic brands like Coffee-mate, Nesquik, and Natural Bliss, as well as brands like Chameleon Cold Brew ready to drink coffee. The Bakery Sweets Division oversees key brands like Toll House, Carnation, and Libbys pumpkin. This position serves on the leadership teams for both Divisions and is responsible for the delivery of high quality, actionable, and timely legal advice in support of their respective priorities. In addition, this person will be a member of the Nestl USA legal leadership team responsible for establishing and delivering on functional priorities.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a leader on both business teams and in the legal function, this role will:

Serve as the Legal Departments primary point of contact for the Beverage and Bakery Sweets Divisions and as a member for the leadership teams of each business

Work directly with the leadership teams to develop and support business strategy

Provide day-to-day advice across all levels of the business teams in the areas of commercial transactions, product development, product labeling & claims, advertising & marketing, sales and distribution, antitrust, and compliance matters

Coordinate the delivery of legal services from in-house specialists and external counsel.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the Legal departments functional priorities

**QUALIFICATIONS**

JD from an accredited law school

Current membership in the Virginia State Bar or the ability to become Registered In-House Counsel in Virginia

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

**SKILLS**

Business-savvy attorney who works to clarify business goals and find solutions to complex challenges

Demonstrated ability to work across all levels of an organization from entry level employees to top executives

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and team members

High level of analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to solve problems proactively and with business acumen

Excellent project management skills and initiative
