Description

Position Summary: Assist Facilities Manager in construction project management while maintaining existing assets to the highest aesthetic and performance standards. Ensures a uniform and consistent product delivery at various locations. Communicates directly with internal departments, as well as vendors concerning project needs. Provides guidance in a variety of facility field concepts, practices, and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Facility Manager to meet objectives, partner with team members to provide project support, and manage projects and contractors
  • Assist Facility Manager to achieve a high level of service, detail, and performance standards with a focus on project management
  • Manage, coordinate, and perform project management of indoor/outdoor projects
  • Assist the Facilities Team with their day to day operations when needed
  • Supervise the care and maintenance for various facility operations while achieving the highest aesthetic care, operational, and safety standards
  • Continual education of current construction practices (materials, assemblies, installation processes, pricing, etc) to assist the Facilities Manager
  • Oversee, make recommendations, and provide direction to all involved parties regarding budget preparation, program changes, goal establishments, and short/long-range planning on assigned projects.
  • Understand and prepare technical documentation needed for facility projects
  • Assist with the implementation and follow through of preventative maintenance plans
  • Facilitate building system upgrades which may include design, programming, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repair
  • Advise the Facilities Operations Manager regarding budget preparation, program changes, goal establishments and short/long range planning
  • Participate in an on-call rotation that requires immediate response to facility related needs


Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
  • College degree or equivalent experience required
  • knowledge of construction processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude
  • Excellent understanding building construction systems; HVAC, MEP, hydraulic, pool and other equipment
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering, architectural, design concepts and design software
  • CAD experience or the ability to do renderings/mockups
  • Advanced problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with contractor and personnel management; Able to mentor/motivate others while providing guidance and direction
  • Excellent knowledge of general office procedures; as well as intermediate knowledge smart phone and computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects with available resources
  • Keen attention to detail, honesty, adaptability, dependability, and a willingness to do hands-on work
  • Ability to maintain a high level of strict confidentiality and professionalism
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record


Valued but not required skills and experience:
  • Private estate/hotel/ hospitality/museum experience
  • Project Management Certification
  • Experience with 3D modeling/renderings
