**Sr. Software Engineer Retail Fresh Systems**

ID** 18100BR **Date Posted** 01/24/2022 **Location** Lakeland, Florida The Retail Fresh Team is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer who will be responsible for playing a key role interacting with enterprise teams to drive design and development of solutions using the latest development technologies with a specialty in C#, to support highly complex retail software and hardware systems.
The most suitable hire for this position will be a technical candidate with strong analytical, planning, problem solving, writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors, and business unit customers. We are looking for someone with experience in all aspects of delivering software using agile best practices with agile test-driven development, code refactoring, continuous integration, simple code design, pair programming, and a common codebase using cloud technologies.
* Work closely with IT management on project and resource planning, including effort estimation
* Lead critical efforts to develop and support highly complex systems and architecture initiatives by overseeing and prioritizing project work including requirements, design, development, and implementation
* Approve design of complex technical solutions working with architects and other I/S resources
* Serve as the primary point person to coordinate large and critical cross platform releases with various project delivery teams, business units and technical teams
* Instruct, direct, and audit the development and support work of others within Information Systems
* Responsible for development and documentation of requirements and design for complete system solutions for highly complex systems that cross many functional and technical areas, including application, software, database, hardware, and security
* Provide a high level of analytical and technical expertise in the definition, delivery, and support of technology solutions
* Responsible to be the system and process expert for one or more major application areas at Publix
* Define optimal technology solutions for challenging business and technical opportunities at Publix
* Responsible for delivery and support of new and improved systems that are high quality, reliable, secure, and stable
**Required Qualifications**
* Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline like Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
* Minimum of 5 years of I/T experience in application design, development, and delivery in an enterprise environment
* Minimum of 5 years coding experience leveraging .Net framework 4.5/5.0 with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and object-oriented design
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing complex business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership
* Minimum of 3 years in an agile scrum environment, leading developers, and working closely with business partners
* Leadership experience in driving the work of a team of individuals performing similar work in an agile scrum environment as a subject matter expert, product owner, business analyst, or similar position
* Experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed internet facing environment.
* Strong knowledge of architecture and design of solutions in an Azure environment to solve business problems
* Ability to work concurrently on multiple assignments with similar deadlines
**Preferred Qualifications**
* AZ-303 and/or AZ 304 Azure certifications or equivalent experience in designing/architecting Azure solutions
* Knowledge of Databricks development and deployment
* Knowledge of Angular development and Telerik UI controls
* Extensive experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in either Azure DevOps or other similar tools
* Experience in implementing enterprise application using platform services like Azure App service, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, notification hubs, event hubs, microservices, stream analytics, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, IoT Hub, application insights etc.
* Data storage technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL.
* Familiarity with mobile development and deployment of Android and Apple applications
* Experience with using Xamarin and Kendo
* Experience with event-based messaging platforms like Kafka or MQTT
* Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
