PPG Aerospace is seeking a Quality Control Technician at our site in Avon, MA!

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be involved in the execution of inspections related to product quality. If you are curious and passionate about delivering quality products, and want to work for an industry leader, then this may be the career opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, goods in process, and finished goods.
  • Be involved in physical inspection and/or testing of raw materials as well as in process and finished goods. Tests conducted may include visual, dimensional, etc.
  • Keen observation in attention to detail, good record keeping through quality records. Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Calibration of Equipment, housekeeping and disposing of material and product.
  • Following specifications, SOPs and industry standards for inspection of parts.
  • Crafting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Upholding safety standards for the team, and this includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following safety guidelines.
  • Time management and recognition of work efficiency.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of laboratory/inspection experience or similar experience.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, and carry through with all steps needed to complete each function.
  • Ability to clearly identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed and to take the necessary steps to avoid future errors.
  • Digital literacy in ERP System (QAD preferred) and Microsoft office.
  • Must be a US citizen.
