Tracking Code 5170-205 Job Description **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Operates military and commercial fueling vehicles and equipment over varied terrain and roadways.

* Receive fuel at mainline or terminal stations.

* Transporting bulk petroleum in excess of 2,000 gallons.

* Operator receives, stores and issues fuel in accordance with Army and OSHA Regulations.

* Performs preventative maintenance of fuel equipment.

* Required to gauge and test fuel for water and other contaminates.

* Required to bond fueling equipment prior to issuing fuel and when vehicle is staged.

* Maintains fueling equipment In accordance with Army Regulations.

* Will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays.

**Non-Essential Duties:**

* Other duties as assigned/approved by Tatitlek management.

Required Skills **Required:**

* High School diploma or equivalent.

* Prior experience operating military and commercial fueling equipment.

* Commercial Drivers License Class A with hazmat endorsement.

* Must successfully complete the 40-hour military fuel handlers course.

* Must successfully complete the M978 driver training course.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

* Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

* Acceptable driving record.

* Effective communication skills.

* Ability to read maps and follow written directions.

**Physical Requirements:**

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and move up to 75 pounds as needed. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the physical ability to operate a straight truck.

Required Experience Additional Qualifying Factors:

Reliable transportation to/from work is a necessity. Must be able to maintain proper state registration, proof of insurance, and a valid driver's license to operate Privately Owned Vehicles (POV) on a military installation. As a condition of employment, must have acceptable background check results and pass a pre-employment drug screening. Must be able to maintain NACI-III level of investigation. This position may be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing on an unannounced basis.
