SEWS - Farmington Hills, Michigan Office. Although located at SEWS - Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain the logical & physical system schematics per customer design transmittals and internal & customer requirements.
  2. Create a cost effective harness complexity set that supports customer marketing releases.
  3. Attend & obtain signed off logical & physical schematics per build phase from customer compatibility reviews.
  4. Confirm vehicle function, proper circuit design, optimize Cost, Quality and Productive wiring system on vehicle
  5. Identify, track and resolve open issues.
  6. Good communication, time management and interpersonal skills required.
  7. Participate in internal match checks for every harness print release.
  8. Interface directly with external customer - PMT, PAT, customer engineers and launch team.
  9. Interface with internal customer SEWS/SWS cross-functional groups, program managers and division management.
  10. Support vehicle launches / prototype builds at internal manufacturing plants and external customer vehicle assembly plants.


Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree, with 5-7 years experience as an Automotive EDS (Electrical Distribution Systems) Wiring Systems Engineer.
