Loss Prevention Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: A Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for ensuring that adequate physical security measures are in place and that all security incidents are reported and recorded. The Loss Prevention Manager will have proven experience in loss prevention or a related field and possess a strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment. Flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and have excellent organizational, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Regularly checking the functionality of security systems, including cameras, recording systems, and controllers.

- During live incidents, tracking events using surveillance systems.

- Monitoring camera feeds, identifying involved parties, and reporting details to supervisors or communication operators. Effective communication is crucial during incident tracking.

- Investigating incidents of theft/liability and preparing detailed reports

- Communicating with on-site security guards, patrols, and other personnel including Law Enforcement.

- Relaying information about incidents, guiding response efforts, and ensuring a coordinated approach to security.

- Monitoring radio communications, including communicating with team members during emergencies or security incidents.

- Promptly responding when an alarm is triggered (e.g., intrusion alarm, fire alarm, or equipment malfunction). Assessing the situation, verifying the cause, and taking appropriate action, such as notifying security personnel or emergency services.

- Conducting visual inspections of designated routes and camera sequences; focusing on vulnerable or critical areas, remote zones, and areas not covered by foot patrols.

- Communicating instances of incident, investigation, and security-related activity reviews

- Efficiently coordinates video preservation efforts when external copies of footage are needed; including but not limited to recurrent communication with law enforcement and fulfillment of judicial subpoenas.


- Tracking weekly and monthly incident reporting as well as follow-ups and status reports on any pending video preservation requests

WORKING KNOWLEDGE /EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be 21 years of age

- High School diploma or GED; some college credit desired


- Experience in loss prevention or related field.

- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment

- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and regulations

- Proficient in report writing with attention to detail

- Knowledge of CCTV systems and their operation

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent organizational, communication, computer, and problem-solving skills

- Must be detail-oriented and highly motivated

- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, holidays, and weekends

- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds

- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods


- Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
