**What your day in this role may involve:**Our North Charleston**PACKER**positions**provide essential support to manufacturing machine operators during the rewinding process**and are fundamental in**ensuring finished product meets customer specs**. These entry-level roles are an integralpart of our production team, involvedindaily manufacturing processesand successful outcomes for our facility and its customers. This key position works closely with teammates at multiple levels in customizing product in preparation for shipment.
**What makes a successful OC-Charleston team member:**
**Must haves include...**
* Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
* Be flexible, engaged and accountable
* High school diploma or GED
* At least 18 years old
* Be able to:
+ Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
+ Work safely and follow all plant rules
+ Show initiative, be a self-starter
+ Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
+ Work independently, as well as part of a team
+ Have shift flexibility
+ Read/use a tape measure and perform basic math
+ Experience with (and willingness to work) 8, 10 or 12-hour shifts
**Past work experience with the following would also be terrific...**
* **Warehouse / manufacturing environment that is NOT climate controlled**
* Forklift operations
* Basic computer / keyboard skills
**There are someessential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:**
* Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
* Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
* Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 40-pounds)
* Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
* Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
* **Pass hair follicle (90-day-view) drug screenings (pre-hire and ongoing-random)**
