**BUSINESS CONTRIBUTION:**

Maintain flow of materials and products in Production Department.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:**

* Assist in the organization and movement of material, parts, and whole goods within the facility utilizing whatever hand or powered conveyances may be required.

* Assist in timely and accurate reporting of inventory movements using SAP.

* After training & testing a Material Handler is responsible for safely operating powered equipment including fork trucks and overhead hoists.

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:**

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

* Six months to two years experience and/or training for forklift and overhead hoists.

* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shop floor work orders, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to plant employees and supervisory staff.

* Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using all units of weight, measurement, volume, and distance.

* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

* Employees will be required to complete a forklift training certification.

* Must be able to effectively work in an organized fashion with various multi-tasks with indirect supervision. Detailed oriented, strong knowledge of cycle count process in a distribution center. Reliable, must be able to perform in a team environment.

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feet; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Position requires a considerable variety of fairly steady active physical exertion. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work outdoors in virtually any weather conditions.

**HOURS:**

Must be available to work 1st shift hours.
