Job Summary/Basic Function
Position may include the handling of cash.
Implement facility rules and regulations in all areas of the Wellness Center.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and machines. Promote Wellness Center programs.
Provide prompt, friendly, and professional answers to questions posed by customers.
Find coverage for any assigned shift that you may not be able to work.
Provide a spot for persons lifting when necessary.
Ensure members are re-racking weights and wiping down machines. Keep the Fitness Center's equipment and accessories neat, organized, and clean.
Provide first aid when necessary.
Ability to learn how to set-up and break- down of equipment used in the Wellness Center.
Must be available for morning, late night, and weekend shifts including breaks and holidays.
Wear appropriate attire (including staff shirts) for all shifts.
Ability to work with people and follow directions.
May require heavy lifting.
Must be willing to perform custodial/maintenance duties.
Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager, Coordinator, Assistant Director, and/or Director of the Wellness Center.
Minimum Qualifications
Good communication skills.
Must be enrolled/registered for either Summer 2024 OR Fall 2024
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience in a wellness/recreation setting
