Description
SUMMARY
To perform maintenance service and extensive repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine service, electrical, tile work, furniture repair, upholstery, welding, and/or vehicle servicing. Has high level expertise in one or more of the facility maintenance areas. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the casino.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Performs minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities with little or no supervision.
Repairs furniture, doors, windows, cabinet work, small appliances and equipment; replaces light bulbs, filters, dimmers, locks and other duties as assigned by shift supervisor.
Read and accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to enable to successfully and effectively complete assigned tasks.
Maintains the integrity of facilities based on building codes and laws.
Diagnoses and resolves major facility or equipment problems in his/her area of expertise.
Assists with furniture set-up and construction, office moves, carpet laying, and other redesigns.
Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment and is able to perform major repairs and/or identify solutions for the repair.
Assures prompt, courteous service to all customers, internal and external.
Operates within the safety rules and codes set by the company and has extensive knowledge of OSHA standards and hazardous materials regulations.
Operates company vehicles to perform service for the company.
Provides assistance to other Facility Technicians.
Additional duties as assigned and necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE
2-4 years' experience in facilities maintenance required, and/or
Training + high level expertise in one or more of the facility maintenance areas, e.g.; electrician, plumber, etc
Class II or III Casino experience preferred.
This classification is a "safety sensitive" position as defined by MNGE. As a "safety sensitive" classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.
